Increasingly, I suspect that Iran poses no real threat to the US and that the US knows this. If there was any significant non-alignment between these states, Iran would have flexed some muscle against Israel, even if only as a threat. I just saw a post stating that various European, Israeli and US war ships are poised for the possibility that nuclear negotiations fail, but something feels theatrical about it. I find it interesting that according to 'ostensibly reliable' sources, nearly 20% of imports to Israel come from China (mostly technical equipment and machinary), yet publicly the Chinese state make noises of support for Palestine. None of the powerful global states are doing anything about the horror inflicted on the people of Gaza, other than say, 'it's outrageous'. God bless the Houthis-the last gasp of honourable men. It seems to me that the stand offs and conflicts between the big global players are theatrical. What we have is a big sperm splashing, circle jerk between the elites of the financially winning corporations and countries. Yes, they compete with each other over ejaculation range, biggest prick and wrestle over position in the wanker hierarchy, but they locked into capitalist interdependence. They don't understand where things are going and they don't care. They're happy to sacrifice their own people and blame it on each other...so goes history I guess. But these legitimation stories are starting to look like the boys with the billions are having fun with our credulity.
